Today, Josie walked over and hugged my legs. She looked up at me and said "Mommy, guess what the worst time of my life was?" I smiled a little inside, what would this precious 4-1/2 year old come up with? She sighed and answered "The time when you had crutches."
We spent a few more minutes discussing those miserable four months. "I didn't like that you couldn't give me piggy back rides or carry me downstairs." she said with a dejected face.
Why this came to her today, I'll never know.
Bittersweet. She is so much more sensitive than we sometimes give her credit for. Lord only knows how long she has been thinking on this.
