While sorting through some things in our attic closet last week, I came across a mysterious bag. When I peeked inside I found a pair of roller skates that I had purchased on clearance last summer with the intent to give it to one of the girls as a Christmas gift. So much for that. I pulled the skates out Sunday afternoon to cheers of excitement from the short crowd in this house. Each of the girls took their turn skating around the kitchen and dining room area. Ellie was quite awkward and unsure of the entire thing, asking me to hold on to her most of the time. Josie, on the other hand, is ready for Roller Derby...
Now...to come up with an appropriate
"Roller Derby-esque" name for the girl.
And neither Kyle nor I are quite sure why she's skating around in her underthings in the middle of January. Trust me, our house is not that warm.
Maybe it was a good thing that you had forgotten them as a Christmas gift, what a great January treat.
