I received a text from Ellie's teacher Thursday…
"Look who got a B on her math test!"
Ahhh!! Awesome news!
Have you done fourth grade math lately? No? Lucky you. It's not the math from my childhood. Not only has Eleanor been struggling with her math assignments lately, but her parents have been struggling with helping her. The "new math" techniques are much different that those we learned as kids. So, in order to avoid confusing the poor kid, we've been trying to help her using these new "rules." (Harder than it sounds.)
Getting that text made our day (and Ellies!!)
